At MUD Jeans we turn old worn-out denim into new denim

At MUD Jeans, we design and produce premium circular denim. We collect worn-out jeans, remove hardware, and recycle the fabric into new yarn through mechanical and chemical processes.

This closed-loop system turns old denim into new denim, keeping valuable materials in circulation and reducing waste, water use, and CO₂ emissions.

What is MUD Jeans “world-famous” for?

MUD Jeans is known for pioneering true post-consumer recycled denim at scale.

Instead of using factory scraps, we recycle real worn jeans through a closed-loop system.

With fabrics containing up to 55% post-consumer recycled cotton and our ambition to reach 100%, we lead the transition toward zero-waste denim production and circular fashion.

With the SORTED subsidy, we will accelerate the future of circular fashion.

With support, we will scale innovation to bring 100% post-consumer recycled denim to market, further reduce reliance on virgin cotton, and expand take-back and recycling systems.

The project strengthens material optimization, supply chain alignment, and durability testing to make circular denim commercially viable and accelerate the transition to a truly closed-loop fashion system.
